Having been a keen gardener for many years, Caroline qualified as a garden designer at Brinsbury Horticultural College in west Sussex. She then went on to gain a wealth of knowledge and experience working for a London based designer before moving to Beaulieu Palace House, where she was based in the Victorian Garden. She then worked for a local landscape company designing and project managing many gardens, before finally setting up her own company - New Forest Garden Design.

Caroline has gone on to design an abundance of gardens including small town gardens and large country gardens to school grounds and communal gardens.

Caroline believes that garden design is not simply a matter of choosing plants and arranging them on site - it is the culmination of a process that begins with the soil and the seasons and involves everything from the construction of the garden to the way in which the client will use the space.

A garden that is well laid out and well planted is an asset to be enjoyed and exploited and can greatly enhance a property.
